JBLopen Expands its Range of Supported Platforms With the Addition of the STM32 F4 and F7 MCU Series.

JBLopen’s BASEplatform™ list of supported platforms grows to include the STMicroelectronics STM32 F4 and F7 series.

BASEplatform, an embedded software component designed to provide application developers with all the necessary software modules, BSP, drivers and RTOS integration needed to jump start their embedded software project, now supports the STMicroelectronics STM32 F4 and F7 series of high-performance MCUs. The addition of the STM32 to the BASEplatform enables JBLopen’s customers to access one of the most popular microcontroller using a portable API. In addition to RTOS drivers and integration, BASEplatform can include support for external board components such as cameras, sensors and more. All with the developer’s choice of RTOS, IDE and toolchain.

Based on the ARM® Cortex®-M4 and Cortex-M7 cores, the STM32 F4 and F7 are power efficient, high performance general purpose MCUs. Running either standalone or side by side with STM32Cube, the BASEplatform can offer support for additional RTOSes, compilers and external components as well as bringing improved integration between software components and drivers from different sources. Whether it’s for a single driver or as a complete platform support solution, BASEplatform can help reduce risk and time to market.
